Russell Westbrook’s first leg of the 2016 NBA Playoffs is in the books, with he and the Thunder finishing off the Dallas Mavericks last night. The Jordan Brand superstar did so in yet another player exclusive Air Jordan 30. The pair we wore is one of his brightest yet, featuring an almost infrared colorway to go with his OKC uniform. The shoe uses Westbrook’s logo at the tongue and some personalized writing on its upper. Westbrook’s performance in the shoes was dominant—he contributed 36 points to the Thunder victory during 38 minutes logged.
Fans of the latest Air Jordan performance models will definitely want to pay attention to the feet on court during the current Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs playoff match-up. Why? Because three of Jordan Brand’s top athletes are on the floor, and all wearing brand-new PE editions of the Air Jordan XXX and Ultra.Fly. After a game 1 rout of Thunder by the Spurs, it looks like San Antonio may be in full command of the series, but Russell Westbrook will at least be stealing the show sneaker-wise thanks to his heavy rotation of impressive Air Jordan XXX colorways, ranging from bright orange to all-white. Fitting his personality, Kawhi Leonard keeps things a little more low-key with two Spurs-friendly colorways of the XXX, in a clean grey gradient and a black/white version, each with his “KL” hang logo on the tongue. LaMarcus Aldridge will be wearing the new Ultra.Fly with a black and silver upper and either a black or grey midsole. Get an up-close look at each of the Jordan PE’s here, and tune into the second round series to see each shoe in action.
